I just sent off a test abuse mail on the following node:

http://www.mysite.com/node/19

and used the !url variable to get the URL to appear and it showed up as such:

http://www.mysite.com/%3Ca+href%3D%22/node/19%22%3Ehello%3C/a%3E

which isn't much use really. What's the issue here?

The issue was that the url function was being called on what was already a url :) It should be fixed within the next couple of days.
