Quotes module enabled; Access configured; Content published; Block added;
Under Configure Quotes block - Category filter shows:
Forums
--"forum container"
--"forum"
Why?

I can't deselect all categories. I don't want to filter quotes by category, certainly not by forum topic, and I've not implemented any taxonomy/vocabularies/categories, etc.

Quotes did show up until I configured the block and noticed the category filter. So one click to see what categories were listed, couldn't deselect the categories and they haven't shown up since.

My issue is solved. The workaround is: I deleted the block and recreated it and AVOIDED clicking on category filter. But why is the category filter showing a list of forums?

I found configure block before, but not delete block. I uninstalled the module and reinstalled it, but the block stayed, but that didn't do help. Deleting the block worked. I should have known when I didn't see delete block. I found it in another area. )I like the new administration menus in 5.x but you really have to look in multiple places.)

So this seems like a bug that forums show up as category filters in configure quotes block.

Just like in any list box, simply use shift or control/command to deselect selected items. This is browser/operating system behavior, not something specific to this module.
