Since Stickynotes only show up to the admin user, it would be handy to turn them on by default saving the step of moving the block on the block admin screen and saving the confusion for people who don't know that they need to do that. (Newbies, right? Whatcha gonna do.)

yukare commentedUser admin maybe someone other paper than "administrator", and not everyone like a module puting a block somewhere(because each theme have it own regions) and things like this, and will not be a easy task.
A simple sugestion: after the module install, show a message to tell that you must put the block somewhere in your theme so you can see it.

ben finklea commentedYes, that's a great idea, @yukare. That would solve the problem as long as you linked to the proper page to put the block into the theme.
Or take it one step further and give you the dropdown so you can select where to put it.

infiniteluke commentedAfter install a message now appears:
"To add the stickynote block to your site, go to admin/structure/block and enable it in a region."
"admin/structure/block" is a link to the page where blocks are added.
