Ubuntu is prompting me to do a distribution upgrade. Will this break Quickstart? What is the recommended way of handling this? How do you handle it?

I did break mine and had to restart from scratch, because i did not check the "install GRUB" options...
later i found this

I did not try again yet, but i think it's safe after you do a Snapshot first, as described in the first link.

I've had nothing but trouble trying to update, and I'm not sure the hassle is worth the return.
I get all the way to the end of the upgrade then it reboots and I get a problem loading the graphics driver so just get a black screen. I've tried all sorts of methods of disabling the default built in drivers and re-installing my own. I've tried updating grub so it forces plain drivers but then X won't start complaining of drivers again.

If someone else had had better luck with this I'd be interested to hear your views but for now I'm sticking with 10.10.
the other thing is, I definitely don't like the unity interface so bit of a disappointing upgrade to be honest.

Note: I can run a clean install from the ISO and it boots up as normal on virtual box so not quite sure what's going wrong in the upgrade.

For the record, it's best to stay on the version upon which Quickstart was built ;-)
