I installed 5.x-1.x version of the Location module, and enabled the location module and zip code database, but I cannot get the location option to show up in the Default Workflow under content types.

1.x is dead. Please reopen if it's still a problem in 3.x. (Also, I don't know what Default Workflow is...)
