"Enter the content type 'featured' in the source for block 1" issue

Hello,

I'm trying to use the content slider. I created the featured content type, but when I visit admin/settings/content_slider the only options are for fade, auto rotate, animation, etc. I attached an image of the page. Am I missing a step?

I saw there was a content type of "Featured Slider Entry" already created and that has a block, but when I tried to create one, it doesn't show up as a slideshow item. Instead it just shows the title of the content.
