hello.

i just wanted to let people know about a site i recently finished (though there are still a couple rough edges).

OnTheCommons.org - http://onthecommons.org/

apart from the drupal implementation, the topics covered on the site - including open source software and intellectual property issues - might be of interest to people who like drupal.

it is a drupal 4.5 install with flexinode.module and a heavily modified (and older version of the) phptemplate theme. i also hacked apart both the taxonomy_context.module and the taxonomy.module.

its not my first drupal site, but it was the most involved yet and my first collaborative drupal deployment experience.

any feedback is welcome.

Looks real good. I really like that it doesn't look anything like a standard install. Will you be contributing the theme to Drupal?

well, i could but it is going to take a lot of work to get it into a state that will work on a standard drupal installation. i have added tons of hacks that work fine for my site, but that really should be done the "right way" if i were to submit it as a theme.

i'll think about how much work it would take and maybe i'll try it.

nice clean design.
i'm curious to know more about your phptemplate mod.

The first I like of your website is the layout, very different of other drupal based websites.

Also, the contents are very interesting.

Good luck,

Could you explain how you did that? My site needs group blog functionality, but I haven't found anything on the drupal site that explains how to do it. It seems based on the individual blog model.

Thanks!
