Given that we've just fixed the debian installed bug, and we have a patch in 6.x-1.x that fixes installing Drupal 7 on PHP 5.2, should we release a 1.5 version soon?

If so, could we arrange a time to have anarcat around in an advisory role, but I'd like to do the release, specifically the debian package.

Some release notes ideas

* mention the new upgrade process (apt-get install aegir)
* mention the change of location for the debian repository (debian.koumbit.net is retired starting with this release)
* what else?

Note that chris has done a debian package for drush make, we might want to roll the new release with that.

I believe the drush make debian package is pretty much ready to go: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=644519#25

If there's interest in including it, just let me know how I can help.

Awesome stuff, tempted to say that we should leave the drush make package for 1.6, rather than trying to remove our stuff from 1.5?
1.5 is pretty much good to go at this stage.

Anarcat, I'll get started when I can, Friday might be a good day to do, I have a flight to catch, but some free time afterwards.

I'd like to get drush_make packaging in 1.5. We agreed to release on monday.

I have made the debian installer depend on drush_make (which is now in all distributions of debian.aegirproject.org).

The thing it's trying to do is to disable the manual drush_make install (but not trash it, as maybe the admin has made some local changes) in order for drush to not crash when called by aegir...

This obviously needs testing, hopefully jenkins can do that for us...

Jenkins found glaring problems with the package, which I have fixed.

Also, while I was there I made sure that dependencies between the aegir, aegir-provision and aegir-provision packages is versionned, so that we can just upgrade aegir or aegir-hostmaster to upgrade the whole thing. I have updated the upgrade docs accordingly.

I get those warnings during the upgrade - they are harmless but probably warrant a release note..
