I currently get this message when i use drush update

fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git
Unable to update cck from git.drupal.org. [error]
Updating project cck failed. Attempting to roll back to previously [error]
installed version.
...

What is the problem here, what to do to make drush work?
