Please add Bangla language to localize.drupal.org (I did check at http://bit.ly/9xdtL that there is no existing issue for this language)
You already have a version of Bangla language named Bengali.
Indian version of Bangla is called Bengali.
But Bangladeshi version of Bangla is called Bangla.
Everywhere we have two version of Bangla. One is called Bengali, another is called Bangla.
I need you to consider it sir.
I need to open our version of Bangla too.
Add Bangla, bn_bd and use the plurals defined for bn_in because they are the only ones defined at https://unicode-org.github.io/cldr-staging/charts/40/supplemental/langua....

We have countless number of different words and our grammer is different too.
Though we understand each language but our phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics are different in many ways.
On windows, linux, joomla there are two versions of Bangla language.
I hope you would consider and check it.

zirvap commented"Assigned to" is used when someone takes the responsibility to work on an issue. Since you can't create a new translation group on localize.drupal.org yourself, this issue shouldn't be assigned to you.
Does this language have a language code from W3C? I tried searching for it on http://rishida.net/utils/subtags/index.php?find=bangla&submit=Find , but didn't find a language code, only a geographical one.

zirvap commentedYour first link gives the language code as bn and the language name as Bengali. We have a translation group for that language: http://localize.drupal.org/translate/languages/bn
So, in order to create a translation group for Bangla, as a different language from Bengali, we need a language code for Bangla, as well as a source that clearly identifies the language name Bangla with that code.

I want a sub-language of Bengali language called "Bangla" with the language code bn-bd on Drupal platform. Joomla, Wordpress already have it.
English has so many valid sub-languages:
en_AS en_AU en_BB en_BE en_BM en_BW en_BZ en_CA en_GB en_GU en_HK en_IE en_IN en_JM en_MH en_MP en_MT en_MU en_NA en_NZ en_PH en_PK en_SG en_TT en_UM en_VI en_ZA en_ZW
Thats why there is no lanuage page for English language in common:

British English has a page: http://localize.drupal.org/translate/languages/en-gb
I want the same thing for Bengali language too.

If I understand this correctly, currently on localize.drupal.org we have a language bn. This is the India Bengali and the language code should be changed to bn_IN to reflect this.
This request is for a new Bengali [mostly called "Bangla"] for the country of Bangladesh. The language code for this is bn_BD.
What is not clear is if the plural formula for bn_IN and bn_BD are the same.
http://docs.translatehouse.org/projects/localization-guide/en/latest/l10... only lists the bn language code and the plural formula for it is:
nplurals=2; plural=(n != 1);
This is the same plurals formula that I find in a inkscape translation here: http://code.metager.de/source/xref/inkscape/po/bn_BD.po for bn_BD.
@TareqMahbub and @kazidxb can you confirm that nplurals=2; plural=(n != 1); is the correct plural format for bn_BD?
If you are still interested in having the Bangla language added please visit this issue on drupal.org and mark it active. That way it will come to the attention of the needed people.
