Is there anyway to shorten the $title variable in the .tpl files? I'd like to show just the 1st three words of the title, if possible.

just apply any php code to the variable, i.e: this will only show 10 chars of title:
- substr($title,1,10)

Is there any way to just show x number of words? That would be ideal.
