By preferred name on

I have deleted all of the forums and created a new forum, but now that new forum has an id of 8. so when i go to site/forum i now get a No forums defined, maybe because there is no more a forum with an id of 1. In the database, how can i make my id 8 to id 1, and i am hoping this will fix the problem.

are you using the contrib category.module ?

or did you delete the entire forum taxonomy ?

I am not using the contrib module and I once deleted the forum at the taxonomy, but I recreated another forum and fixed the ids in the database. So everything seems to be working with the ids but I believe it to be a Taxonomy Access issue because I still get the no forums defined when logged in by a normal user but logged in with admin is ok

At the Taxonomy Access module settings: Category: Forums, the list permissions were not checked.
