This module is awesome but it is not integrated with the generic file/image upload functionality of Drupal. It will be great if there was an option to replace the default image upload functionality and allow for bulk upload for multi-value image fields. The same is valid for media items.

I second this request. Although Image Gallery looks like it will someday be great, it appears to be stuck and most Drupalistas are not able to get multiple image upload and lightbox display working with it. (I know I can't.)

This would also allow the option to upload multiple PDFs, Docs or whatever other files one would wish to upload into a filefield in one swoop.

Are there any plans for this? Is there anything I can do to help?

Hello,

I am using galleryformater and the image field to create my galleries. It would be so much nicer (and faster) I could use this module to upload multiple images at once.

Is this feature integration already on a future roadmap? If not, will it be taken into consideration? If, do you have a whatsoever rough timeline for it?

So far there is no multiple files upload for D7 at all.

Please let me (and others) know about your plans regarding this issue. Thank you!

Plupload works with Media Gallery if that's any help - but I'd also be very happy if it could be used with the core File and Image fields in D7.

http://drupal.org/sandbox/atlea/1414774 makes Plupload work with core file and image files. Used it on some clients for a while without issues.
