COD in D6 has a speaker confirmation feature that emails the speaker with a link for them to confirm they can speak at the scheduled time.

Views Send does have a D7 port in progress, but the maintainers are now discussing complicating it #1052040: Port Views Send to Drupal 7

What do we want these to say?

There are still some issues with certain tokens appearing in emails, and I should stress-test sending to lots of people because the log entry for 3 emails were sent in 114.76 seconds. That won't scale.
