album files sorted into folders (directories) and scrollbar

is it possible to add an option to have the gallery files sorted into a matching folders inside the image folder?
ie. Gallery name is Pictures and files are inside /files/images/pictures
this way the file list is not so huge and easier to manage.

also, is it possible to make an option for the gallery to show all images for the album on a scrollbar and just update on preview image above the scrollbar? there are several javascript options available without scrollbars and nothing truly integrated with image module.
