Hello,

I've been using CCK blocks since early this year. In order to use it at all with other display modes, it's necessary to apply this patch: http://drupal.org/node/833730#comment-4303322 which has basically been RTBC this whole time and is a pretty critical bug.

I'd like to take over maintaining the D7 branch, since I'm using it on multiple sites now and am married to it for Drupal 7 at least. My plan is to get that patch committed and fix any other bugs I can reproduce from the issue queue, then make a stable D7 release as a 7.x-1.0. I don't plan to try and enhance the module at all - I'll leave that to others or to other modules entirely (like the new Brick module which claims it will provide the same functionality as CCK blocks).

The instructions at http://drupal.org/node/251466 say to create an issue here, so I'm doing that. I'll also try and contact the maintainers via the contact form on d.o.

this is good news I made great use of this module and I really hope you can become a mantainer and help developing it.
Of many solutions (Display Suite, Panels, Skinr, etc.) this was still the most functional and easy for me.

As noted on #1353792: Request for Drupal administrator to give damien_vancouver GIT access - Damien now has maintainer access, as I had emailed with Fokke to get confirmation that it was fine to add him, and got a response back this morning saying "Yes, please do so. I'm not active anymore on Drupal, but I'm happy to see the modules are still popular ;)"
