Hello, we use this module in our distribution, and we need a proper release for it to be packed by drupal.org scripts.

Can we have a new version for this module in order to make this possible? I'm not using 1.0 due to the bugs in this release being fixed in dev.

Or is dev stable enough I can switch to that right away?

There have been no commits to the 1.x branch since the 1.0 release, so it is unclear what you mean. Could you elaborate?
