CTM v2.0 doesn't work

Issue Summary

Sorry, I like this module very much, and updated to 2.0. But as 1.1 works, 2.0 doesn't...

Tested with all possible modules I have enabled, and absolutely no module at all.

I haven't test 2.0-dev though.

I'm on drupal 6.22 and tested this on windows and linux servers.

I can confirm that v2.0 doesn't appear to do anything.

I am able to assign a menu item for a content type which has no menus checked in the content type's menu settings.

Going back to v1.1

I've also tested the current dev version with no luck.

tseven, make sure you aren't logged in as user 1. Also see #1088000: Can't deselect all menus.

I updated a development site from 1.1 to 2.0, and I can also confirm that 2.0 does not work.

I have a custom content type. I have no menus checked for this content type. Before the update, Menu Settings was not appearing on the Edit form for items of this content type (as expected and desired). After the update, there are still no menus checked for this content type but Menu Settings is now appearing on the Edit form for items of this content type.

chris4ucla, can you try the patch in #1088000: Can't deselect all menus.

Since ctm 1.0 was replaced by new 2.0, I'm having security warnings from several websites where this module is installed, alert me about unsupported module version. Should 1.0 version remain as a bug-fix only release until new 2.0 works?

the purpose of v2 it is that i that the commits for v1 won't take place (it was something wrong in the old cvs commits).
so the commits will be only against v2

That's right, but the options I have for websites I maintain are:

  1. update to 2.0 (or even 2.0-dev) and broke websites
  2. leave 1.0 version and receive every day a security alert from all websites that I cannot solve, with the side effect of not be aware about other security updates may exists

finally I had to install the update status advanced settings module and ignore ctm-6.x-2.0 on all websites.

Please try 2.x-dev (Nov 5) and see suggestions in #16 and #17 in that thread. Check for multiple copies of ctm in different locations.
