I realise it's a strange request, as usually people use panels as an alternative to using .tpl.php files.

However, I've created a layout using the flexible builder. I've then chosen to save for reuse - and named it layout1. I now want to create a tpl.php file to override it's output. With other layouts in the panels module the syntax for creating a tpl.php file seems to be: panels-nameoflayout.tpl.php. I've tried both panels-layout1.tpl.php and panels-flexible-layout1.tpl.php and neither of them override the output.

Any idea as to what I'd have to name my tpl.php file??

I must say I believe this isn't supported, but I'll assign it to Merlin and we'll see what he says.
