I've installed and configured the Event and EventRepeat modules. I can create an event and schedule it daily/weekly/etc, but when I try to set the interval to 2 or more and repeat type weekly it won't work. If I set the repeat type to daily and the interval to 3 it works as expected (every 3 days).
I haven't selected any of the other advanced fields (they don't seem to help). Is there a special combination of fields that I need to schedule an event for every 3 weeks? I may just be missing something, but I spent a long time trying to get it to work and ended having heaps of duplicates/etc to remove over and over...
Drupal 4.7.6 with latest event/repeat modules from today.
If someone could give me an example of how it should work that would be great.

I just updated both eventrepeat and event to latest 4.7 (4.7-2.x and 4.7 respectively) and I was able to create a repeating event that occurs every third week.
To clarify, when you say it doesn't work, what exactly do you mean? Are there no events that are created? Are there too many events that are created?

I create an event, specify the repeat type as weekly and set the interval to 3 (see screenshot attached), hit submit and it creates an event on the day/time that I specified for the event. But it doesn't create any other nodes/content after that. Nothing else appears on the calendar or under the admin/content menu.
I suspect that I may just be missing a part of the concept, but I don't know.
If you are able to create events that repeat every three weeks what combination of fields do you actually use to achieve this? Do they all come up on the calendar immediately? Or are they supposed to only appear after the previous one has expired or something like that?

mrp40 commentedI just found that when I edited the above event and set the interval to 2 it made no difference. But when I set the interval to 1 it worked as expected (created 12 nodes all up, for each subsequent week).
The same thing happens if I create a new event repeating weekly with the interval set to one.

seanbfuller commentedIt looks like you have that set up correctly. Can you do me another favor and post a screenshot of your debug page (administer > settings > eventrepeat > debug repeat events).

csc4 commentedI've got a problem with getting it to repeat 1st Friday of every month (on 5). Looking through the issue queues there seems a clear split between people with problems and others not - and I'm wondering if it's those of us with non-US dates who have the problems?
In my case I chose Monthly Repeating, 1st Friday of every month. The debug row shows:
05/11/2007 - 11:59pm 01/01/2008 - 11:59pm 01/01/2008 - 11:59pm 0 Council Meeting 2 0 MONTHLY BYDAY=1FRie largely correct - with an event count of 2 - I _actually_ have an event every single day!!!!
I tried taking the reset option - no change.

seanbfuller commentedThanks for the info. That's actually a likely cause. I know that GMT +0 or higher has caused some issues also. I'll try to do a full test to get this sorted out over the weekend.

seanbfuller commentedI tried to reproduce this last weekend with no success. To make sure, I just grabbed a whole new drupal 5.1, event5 and eventrepeat5 and tried to reproduce this, again with no luck. My tests used GMT +2.
Here's an additional question that I may have already asked in other issues:
Do the two of you have Configurable time zones enabled?

Anyway, in answer to your question, I have tried with configurable timezones both on and off, with no difference. My default timezone is +12.
I have created some events that should be repeated every 4 weeks (for a roster of 4 crews, 1 per week). Here is the output of the debug screen:
There are some wacky dates/times there considering these are the events I created:
Green Crew Duty
Start: 21/05/2007 - 07:00
End: 28/05/2007 - 07:00
Blue Crew Duty
Start: 28/05/2007 - 07:00
End: 04/06/2007 - 06:59
Red Crew Duty
Start: 04/06/2007 - 07:00
End: 11/06/2007 - 06:59
Another issue is that I updated the Green Crew Duty event and set the "count" field to "--Select--" and it's still appearing as 51 in debug info.
Is there any more info that I can get you? I could export the applicable DB tables for you if you want??

I switched to Calendar, but no luck there, as recurring events are not implemented in Date.
So I need Eventrepeat. Unfortunatelly, I need just this kind of recurrence...

bigbman commentedNot working at all on 5.x. I am using a specified timezone, which may be screwing it up. I've enabled eventrepeat for regular event types and generic node types - all calendar visibility settings are correct. When I try to schedule a bi-weekly meeting, ending the following month (December), the event only shows up for the first occurence.
What's going on with this?
Question: is it bad to just enable repeating events for the "event" node type? I've tried it that way and with generic nodes - none work.

mr2400 commentedAny progress? I am having a similar problem. I try to schedule an event for the 3rd Wednesday of each month. What I get is that event scheduled for the remaining Wednesdays in that month and nothing else. The following is from the Repeating Events Debug section.

coolren commentedI have the same problem as well. Everything is fine with the basic setting. But it seems nothing is working on the advanced setting. Even I tried an event repeated once a few days and bi-weekly event. They didn't work. The attachment is the setting I had.
