CTools is very buggy and bad module. I don't want to use it in production.
I just want to group fields in vertical tabs on node edit form.
Or point me other module.

There's nothing buggy or bad about CTools - and no, we can't break the dependency.

My experience with CTools is very bad, sorry.
After CTools a had to fix database directly, by hands.
