On the project page it just says

Instructions

Install and enable the module
Check the Status report page to verify jQuery is updated

which is fine for 6.x and later, but 5.x is not so straightforward.

Can I suggest maybe removing the 5.x-2.0 release from the Downloads section, for the avoidance of confusion?

Marking this as won't fixed. 5.x is no longer supported/maintained. If this is still an issue in 7.x, then please re-open.
