A cautious view of issues before we roll out a stable.
It could be that some of these issues will be postponed to another version but we'll see that when we get there.
Please help where possible!

nick_vhWriting simpletests should be one of the goals also!
And bumping this thread to get more people involved helping out !
#1397138: Create Simpletests to verify base functionality of the module
Comment #2
nick_vhMore !
#1379128: Treat cardinality=1 fields as single-value + caching stats response
#1313698: Support for search of multiword content in facets/fields
Comment #3
gregglesThere are no criticals right now, seems like the simpletest is the last thing blocking a release?
IMO testing doesn't feel like a release blocker. I would commit the tests you've got and make a 1.0 release first and then work on adding more and more.

nick_vhWe are discussing and making some last minute changes to class loading aspects for easier backport purposes because when I was creating the tests for the SubQueries I encountered this problem.
I do also agree that it is not a critical for a RC candidate but since drupal.org possible needs tests of this module for better QA (when solr is offline) it would be of big benefit to have those included in 1.0
Tomorrow I will work hard to make Unit testing and as many tests as possible without the need of Solr and as soon those are committed we can roll out another beta/eventually a RC and start on the backport. Help is welcome ;-)
nick_vhShould be ready for RC1 now. Closing this issue

zilla commenteddoes this also resolve the need to downgrade to beta 13 to work with attachments (the impending RC of solr)? see http://drupal.org/node/1393540
i realize that it's a solr_attachments item over there, so perhaps i'll repost over there instead (seems a bit more logical, just trying to group in one place since searching attachments seems to be so central to what many solr users are doing, including acquia's own hosted search service which touts attachment searching as a huge feature)
