Call to undefined function db_rewrite_sql()

When I install 7.x-1.1- or 7.x-1.x-dev appears:
"Call to undefined function db_rewrite_sql() in /web/htdocs/www.XXXXXXXXXX.it/home/nuovo/sites/all/modules/serial/serial.inc on line 54"
The same thing when I update a content type
How can I solve?
