Hi installed localizer module on my 5.1 version..using the pre-patched files to relpace the default ones in the install directory.
everything works fine and the module is just what I needed.
The only problem is that on the module section, I'm not able to activate the Localizer block module as it says that my block module is not active.
I tried to repeat the patching again to make sure there was no error in the process...but no go!
is there anything that can be done to sort this out?
Thanks in advance

slombardi commentedHi Roberto
The block module is not present among the core modules section....or in any other section
so I don't know where I should acvtivate it from...
Thanks
Simone

slombardi commentedAnyway,
my blocks work fine so I think the block module is working..if that's what you meant..
Sorry for not being as detailed but I'm not so much into the codes of Drupal..

Ectar commentedIn my case similar problem
For Localizer both Block and Menu is missing!!!
and both modules disappear from list of modules.
removing localizer bring them back, but with Localizer both Menu and Block works, but no localizations for them...
I'm confused!!

Roberto Gerola commentedHave you perhaps extracted the core patched files under localizer folder ?
Remove them from there.
slombardi commentedRoberto,
thanks for your support I now managed to activate the localizer block following your advice.
Let me ask one more thing as I'm not sure about translating the blocks: if I take a block,
translate it in another language and save, then the block is not shown any more in the original language.
Do I need to create a copy of the block in every language that I activated with the same settings (ex weight) of the original block?
Or am I getting something wrong?
Thanks again
Simone

sun@deng: As of now, a block is stored separately for the selected language. If you the change the language only and submit an existing block again, you're overwriting the original block. In order to create translations for a block, you need to create a new block for each language. This behaviour will be changed in Localizer 2.0.

slombardi commentedOk,
I think that will be a useful improvement.
Thanks again for the support.
