This screenshot (also attached) shows how the search box appears on my site in with Barlow 5.x (including the latest and greatest). I have tried several things and my site (not running the latest) now shows two vertical bars (shrunken extra boxes) next to the search button.

Is there any way to fix this problem for Firefox? IE seems to be unaffected.

I can't reproduce either, on firefox 3: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091216 Iceweasel/3.5.6 (like Firefox/3.5.6; Debian-3.5.6-1)

I'm using 6.x-1.0. I think we can close this.
