"media_fid_illegal_value"

I'm hoping this is just a settings issue. Anyone seen this error on save after creating a node type for Google docs?

Jon, under what circumstances did you get this error, and what sort of file were you trying to include?

When configuring the File field settings, one of the required fields is "Allowed file extensions." Did the file's extension appear in that list? And did the actual type of the file match its extension?

Are you sure you used the right field type (File) when defining the embedded doc type? There is, in fact, an open issue with the Media module, #1142630: media_fid_illegal_value error when adding media to an entity, and the message appears to come directly from media.module.

I'll have to get back to you on this within the month. My work around was to drop using the module. Hence it has dropped to the bottom of my task list.
