I have a vocabs called 'Keywords' and 'Glossaries'.

Glossaries only has a few terms like 'Systems Engineering' and 'Systems Engineering' that tag 1000s of nodes.

At admin/settings/apachesolr/query-fields I have:

All taxonomy term names: [Omit]

Taxonomy term names only from the Keywords vocabulary: [2.0]

Taxonomy term names only from the Glossaries vocabulary: [Omit]

I have carefully deleted the index and re-index the site (many times in fact).

I still gets 1000s of hits on words that occur within the Glossaries terms.

For example, a search on 'engineering' gives hits on (Systems Engineering).

I want to exclude (omit) these taxonomy term hits.

I am convinced this is a bug (i.e. that the system is not performing as designed or promised by the user interface), otherwise please convert to a support request, and I'd be grateful if you could explain how I can configure the system to correctly omit these unwanted hits.

BTW it is clear that it only affects a handful of search terms, but they are unfortunately common ones.

Grateful for help,

Webel

The rendered node is indexed. If you don't want the terms to be found in that search, you need to e.g. adjust the rendering of taxonomy in the node body for the search index.
