As time goes by, I'm more and more attracted by dba. I'd like to contribute to the development and especially get some usability optimizations in. In my vision this module renders a separate installation of phpMyAdmin or phpPgAdmin unnecessary.

dwwi'm just an assistant maintainer myself. ultimately, this is still jeremy's module, so i can't be the one to grant this for you. personally, so long as you were careful to always get reviews from another maintainer before you commit, i'd be fine with you being able to directly work on this module. it certainly doesn't get the attention and love from jeremy or myself that it deserves, since both of us are way too busy with too many things.

jeremy commentedMy near term goal for the module (should I ever find time) is to simplify the code, generally cleaning up all implementations. It all started as a proof of concept that grew into a bit of a beast, and needs some love. I'm not interested in rapidly adding new features, instead interested in focusing on code cleanup. (I'd also like to see the current functionality fully supported on PostgreSQL.)
I'm willing to grant you maintainership so long as you work with dww and myself, posting patches to the issue queue for review before actually committing them to the module. Any major new features or changes in functionality should be discussed here in an issue first.
That said, adding another maintainer to the fray is a great idea, as the module is useful one and deserves a lot more love.
I've gone ahead and added you as a maintainer. Welcome aboard, and thanks for all your effort on getting the module working with Drupal 5.x!
