Underneath the header Choose the node types you want to show the buttons on, you should include a reference to the sharethis_block module with an explanation of how that module manages ShareThis' appearance through Drupal's blocks interface.

Also, you should mention that the admin should choose to manage ShareThis' appearance either by content type or by blocks, or ShareThis will appear twice on a node.

It's just a simple addition that brings a lot of value to your typical user.

Added a contextual link, and a bit more documentation for the block. http://drupalcode.org/project/sharethis.git/commit/f064c8d

If you install ShareThis via drush, it's very easy to miss the sharethis_block module.

Please add a checkbox or some other affordance on the ShareThis admin page that enables the module or reminds the user to enable it. Otherwise, it's very easy to lose hours of time trying to figure out how to manage the location of ShareThis on a page.
