This is a strange one...

My activity stream blocks are not able to display alongisde my site's main content (see attahced image).

I am using a theme with one sidebar on the right.

As you can see, the block title displays fine alongside main content, but the contents of the block are pushed below all my main content.

It is also overlapping and bunched up.

Please can somebody help with this?

I don't see how this is an issue of heartbeat. Seems like you have serious layout problems.

I can see that you configured your stream to show comments in the activity messages. They have a fixed width by default, otherwise it's very difficult to comment.
If you want to show a stream in that small column, I suggest you remove comments and only use that in sections that are wider.
If the site breaks completely, I really hope this is not the fault of heartbeat.
