Installing on a relatively fresh Drupal 7.9 along with file browser and quick permissions, I got the following notices:

Notice: Undefined index: file in take_control_menu_build_first_item() (line 43 of /var/www/sites/all/modules/take_control/includes/common.inc).
Notice: Undefined index: file in take_control_menu_build_first_item() (line 50 of /var/www/sites/all/modules/take_control/includes/common.inc).

I noted that Rahul asked to have this bug posted here (http://www.rahulsingla.com/projects/drupal-take-control-module#comment-1007)
