Is this theme dead? We need an update for Drupal 5.1. None has been forthcoming. Is the author planning on an update? The only reason I ask is so I can find out whether I should keep waiting, or whether I should just bite the bullet and migrate to a different, and maintained, theme.

in Drupal 5 I think the Zen theme has taken the place of friends electric as a base theme

Yea, except many of us have sites that are running this theme. So we have to either continue to wait to upgrade our sites, or work on a new theme.

I am interested in contributing to this theme, I already have contrib CVS access. I've tinkered with this theme a little on my 5.x set up and I'm fairly confident I could port it to 5.x and 6.x.

In this theme we have 2
wrapped inside an anchor tag. It is kind of hacky, this does not have an active class on the list items/anchors. The theme is looking fine (it's working on 5.2 with this release), but is lacking in that way.

I have friendsforever floating around CVS, things look okay in Firefox, but as for IE, eh, not too nice.
