Any luck with this? I have the same notices / errors on running 'drush --verbose hostmaster-install'
I am on RHEL6.

Steven, when you say "Did you have connection issues while trying to install?", I'm not 100% what you are referring to.
It seems to connect to SQL server ok, but I haven't created any databases, should I have?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I can provide more info if I'm pointed towards it's location. It's my first time setting up Aegir,
but following the guidelines seems to be fine so far I have found an equivalent on RHEL6 to everything in the guide.

Hi,

Again, the error appears to be:

Connection timed out                                                                                           [error]

Suggests that your server is unable to make outbound network connections to drupal.org in order to fetch packages via Drush Make.

This is not an Aegir bug, this is a firewall issue on your server or a transient network problem on drupal.org. You ought to be able to reproduce the issue trying to drush dl drupal or wget other components manually from drupal.org.
