Here's an upgrade to Drupal 5.
I've also changed the mechanism for defining the .swf file in the block config form. Instead of hand-entering the path of the .swf file, users now upload the file (it goes to /swfobject). Previous manually entered paths will still work.

mcarbone commentedBased on some suggestions, I've added a setting to choose whether or not uploaded files should be replaced or renamed when there's a naming conflict. Also fixed a bug with relative/absolute paths.
A 4.7 backport of these extra features is coming soon as well.

simeSWF Tools does this and is Drupal 5. You would need to download the package and install swftools and swfobject from it.
