I wish to disable the "Date Pop Up" module, so that when looking at a calendar view page and a user clicks on an event s/he is brought to that event page, not just a pop up of a preview of the event.

Problem: on the modules page, it says Date Pop Up is required by Commons Event.

Is it okay to disable Commons Event, then disable Date Pop Up, then re-enable Commons Event (without losing data)?

Cleaning up the queue. No longer applicable in 7.x-3.x (not using a calendar) and we're not fixing non-security bugs in commons 6.x-2.x
