We have a lot of auxiliary scripts in /scripts directory of Drupal package. Another few lines of shell-code into this collection.

Usage:

prefix.sh your_prefix_ original_db.sql > prefixed_db.sql

Tested for MySQL and PostgreSQL dumps and may be used for any Drupal versions.

Nice little addition for Linux users! Committed. Will get deprecated as soon there is an install system.
