I think it would be nice, if custom_pagers would act a bit more Drupal7 like. I'm thinking here about something probably field like, wich offers the user to add a custom pager beyond every contenttype per displaymode. In this field you could select a view or define an other condition like in the actual UI.

This is basically a request for a complete/partial rewrite. I'm sure Eaton will accept patches for a 7.x-2.x, but it doesn't look like he has time. I wish I had time to do it.
