Part of meta issue #1932378: [META] gmap-7.x-3.0 release roadmap

The marker number PNG's only go up to the number 26. I searched for quite a bit trying to locate the issue. Are there more numbers out there? If not then I, along with anyone else that needs numbers above 26 are going to have to create the remaining numbers. I'm looking at approximately 50+ more numbers.

Somewhere way back in the mists of time Gmap got 26 number markers and 10 letter markers, needless to say this should be 26 letter markers and 10 (or more) number markers. 10 letter markers is a bug to my mind ;-)
I don't think it matters if it doesn't get fixed for Google Maps v2 but it should be fixed for v3.
Google says: "The V2 API will continue to work until May 19, 2013"

Attached is a patch that adds the files.

Could we get this in 2.x? I would rather see this as a bug because it prevents maps to show more than 26 items. It doesn't introduce API changes so it shouldn't affect any existing installs.
