Possibility to strip tags and rewrite fields like in views

In views there´s a possibility to stripe (remove) specific tags.
E.g. when I display a term it´s automatically linked to the term page.

If it would be possible to just remove the <a>...</a>-Tags by entering the <a>-Tag in a field it would be a very cool solution to clean up the html-code.

Another idea taken of views is the functionality of rewriting the output.
E.g. I have a cck-field with a URL and want the term to link to this url.
