I have lots of modules installed, many whose content has been divided into different categories. One of them is the stories module, whose content has been broken down to 4 sub-categories.
That was the same with content submitted using the recipe module, until yesterday, when I discovered, for some unknown reason, one of the 3 latest recipes, normally showing in the respective block and on the main recipe page had disappeared. I noticed that around the time I had edited it and added an additional category that fitted that recipe.
I tried to edit again and clearly selected the new category for it, but it did not appear there, though it appeared on the front page..
Since then, I have tried to delete the recipe completely & re-submit it a few times, but that has not helped, either to have it appear in the latest recipe block or even listed on the main RECIPE page AND it does not appear also in the new category. The only way of accessing that specific or indeed any NEWLY submitted one (as I discovered after trying to submit a completely new recipe), is to give in the url or go to the site front page. That means even newer recipes it seems have stopped being taken up in the Newest recipe list or even on the recipe module main page, where u normally have the latest recipes being shown and also the categories are not being updated.
So I dont know where the problem lies, whether it is with the recipe module or something to do with the taxonomy module.
Anyway what can i do to solve the problem? :(

you are going to have to figure out what properties of the newest nodes are different than the older ones to answer the first question...

So far you have only identified that these nodes are 'newer' than the old ones. Are you filtering them by date? Maybe this is the place to look.
Are the newest ones all on the same day, in the same month, etc, etc?
Then from there you may be able to track down what is causing it. Possibly a newly added module? A bug in the date feature?
Personally I have moved away from taxonomy control (and related modules that rely on taxonomy) in favor of view filters and arguments. A little more complicated but I feel I have more control over what is really happining.

Hi, thanks for replying. I have not consciously made any changes in settings, like filtering as u suggest could be the problem. I actually dont even remember where to change filtering settings, though I am sure I ever did something with it months ago.
All other posts I have made of late in different categories are taken up with no problem, at least that has caught my attention.
Where would check if date or any other feature where causing the problem & where/how would I correct it?
