Sorry for making this critical but then I really need info on this too soon since its very closely related to working of my site.

The Username tag in the system tags is not working for me and it gives out only anonymous instead of putting the username in place of the tags.

You can login to my drupal at www.incometactics.com/test/ with the username admin and password admin and please check it out. This is not my main site but i just installed it here so that it would be easy for you to inspect the exact problem.

The functionality I want is that {USERNAME} should be replaced by the actual username of the user.
However on my site its just showing me anonymous as the output instead of showing the username.

Please help me with this as soon as possible.

This was actually a bug (I introduced with a recent update). Bugfix committed to Drupal-5 branch. I will tag a new reptag release in a few days, please use the cvs version instead in the meantime. Sorry for inconvinience!

I used the developer version and my problem is solved.. So u can delete the post I made above this as the solution that u gave was perfect. Thanks a lot as it helped me a zillion times.
