I have finished building my first site in Omega, and love it. Thank you!

I dev on a MAC, then use emulation to debug IE 7 and 8. (I don't even try with IE6 anymore.)
So now I begin debugging and realize IE does not resize at all. No responsive anything.

Did I miss something? Perhaps there's something obvious that I missed.

In related news, I just noticed IE market share is at 21.7%. I won't be satisfied until that number reaches zero.

I notice this too (IE8 running on windows).

A google search for "internet explorer media queries" turns up a number of explanations.

It seems that IE 8 only understands very basic media queries, upon which Omega and other responsive layouts depend. However the good news is that IE9 and onwards is sorted.

I wouldn't worry too much about this. Isn't the whole point of responsive design about compatability with mobile rather than IE?

Yes, that does make sense. I still like to know the portal size will respond even if it is on a desktop. Some people browse full screen, some only want a small window to multitask. But I guess most IE users are not multitasking power users anyway. In 2007 I created a responsive layout that even worked with IE6, but I guess Omega is trying to stay focused on being light and not address IE.
