While the D7 version supports the Field API, does it support using the Media module's media selector widget? Thanks.

Even though I need to digg deeper into media module, what I've seen is mostly a front end interface. If this is the case, I don't think I will be able to do much about it. But I'll have a better watch.

I think there are three parts to this:

  • Uploading new images.
  • Inserting a URL for external media.
  • Selecting from existing media from the library.

The first one is not much more effort than existing file field processing, just needs a little extra work, so maybe it should be the starting point?
