Basic functionality of a document management system, is to save content back to the same file/location, without having to navigate to the folder where the original file is located.
Question to the maintainers: Do you have experience with having a Drupal website with documents as nodes, the word/excel/etc file as attachment(field), being able as user to click on the document so that it opens in a desktop document editor like Word/Excel, and saving the file to the same location (overwriting the original) when clicking 'save' in that Word/Excel editor?

My idea about Drupal is that files and documents should be handled as entities (or as least nodes) so that they are fieldable and can be used in views. Embedding a separate web file browser isn't really the solution in this approach.

Also, please make Drupal 7 available as issue version for this module, and commit your latest dev version to the project page, so that people can play with it.

Thank you very much, very excited about this module.
