Hi,

I have an issue for Manual Crop (#1280462: Make it possible to work alongside Smart Crop) to create default crop selections using Smart Crop.

Is it possible to implement some kind of API to get the crop coordinates from an image? So basically it's the logic from image_gd_smartcrop_crop(), but without doing the actual crop and just returning the x and y coordinate.

Hi, I have a same issue on my imagecrop module. http://drupal.org/node/1307204

I created a patch that moves the coordinate calculation to a helper function. You can find it in attachment.
