Redirect to outside URL adds equal sign to end of URL

I am redirecting to an outside url such as https://oranges.cheese.com/page.php?Something and the url redirect interface is adding an equal sign to the end of the url, which means its going to https://oranges.cheese.com/page.php?Something= which is not valid.
