I searched, but couldn't find an answer...

How does one set the default value for a target? When I click on Preview, the previously-selected source value is still there, as it should be, and the correct values are loaded into the target drop down, but the first item in the target's list is shown, not the previously-selected target value. What am I doing wrong? Is this what 'extra' is for? I haven't been able to pass the value.

Also, will I have the same problem once I edit a submitted page? Or will the saved values be loaded if I've set my default values as I always have?

Nevermind. I figured it out. Look for an update to cck_address soon if you'd like to see how I did it as an example.

lol.. i think i am following your issues about 10 minutes behind..

is what you are talking about here the same issue i have... with multipage forms and a couple other places... that i don't seem to be able to have lower level selects keep their default values.

in the mpage example i have a BACK button that goes back to the form with the AS on it... i see the default values there.. but then the lower level once are wiped out as the ajax kicks in.

btw. .. waiting with baited breath for your address field :)...

Download my Address field for CCK module. It's much easier to just read that code than for me to use this issue to explain it. If you have further questions after reviewing it, I'd be happy to answer them. Once you find your solution, I guess we should mark this as closed.
