Possible fundraising for this project?

I think I'm speaking for a lot of users, this functionality should be a core functionality. Well we probably won't get there anytime soon, but meanwhile we could start an effort for the developer to get a funded project! If all those people looking for this functionality chip in, we should be able to fund this and get a stable release.
