It would be good if we could create taxonomy term listing pages the same way we treat content type listing pages. Following a solution for #1210366: Per-bundle node listing pages, blocks, feeds. I'd like to similarly spruce up the vocabulary settings, perhaps giving each it's own variable for how many posts-per page so we can stop using default_nodes_main for these pages :/

As soon as that gets cleared up, then default_nodes_main *truly* becomes a front page setting, and we can continue down the path of #1201592: Front page settings cleanup

Thank you for creating this issue to improve Drupal.

We are working to decide if this task is still relevant to a currently supported version of Drupal. There hasn't been any discussion here for over 8 years which suggests that this has either been implemented or is no longer relevant. Your thoughts on this will allow a decision to be made.

Since we need more information to move forward with this issue, the status is now Postponed (maintainer needs more info). If we don't receive additional information to help with the issue, it may be closed after three months.
